In a promising development for Romanian football, the national team has moved up two spots to 54th place in the latest FIFA rankings. This achievement follows recent friendlies and reflects the team's determination and progress under new head coach Gheorghe Hagi.

The updated rankings, released on Thursday, show Romania with a total of 1455.89 points. This rise in the standings comes after the team played two friendly matches this month, recording a 1-1 draw against Georgia and a 2-1 victory over Wales.

With this improvement, Romania has successfully surpassed teams such as Mali and Qatar in the global rankings. Meanwhile, Argentina continues to lead the world with 1877.27 points, followed closely by Spain and France.

As Romania looks to build on this momentum, the focus will be on upcoming matches and further consolidating their standing in international football.
