Romania shines at the Balkan Downhill Championship with eight medals

Romania has secured an impressive eight medals at the Balkan Downhill Championship held in Poiana Brașov. The remarkable performance includes three gold medals, showcasing the country's strength in downhill biking.

The competition was part of the Kronstadt Downhill Series and featured a UCI C1 category stage. Notably, Marius Popovici from ACS Cheile Grădiștei, Matei Huțanu from ACS NH Velo, and Luana Cherecheș from ACS Alma each claimed gold, contributing significantly to Romania's medal tally.

In addition to the gold medals, Romania also earned two silver medals. Remus Bonta from ACS Rosenau Cycling and Ștefan Banea from ACS Kronstadt Cycling each brought home silver, adding to the nation's success.

Three bronze medals complemented Romania's overall achievement. Alexandru Blaj from ACS Cheile Grădiștei, Theodor Petre from ACS Element, and Ilinca Neagoe from ACS NH Velo each secured bronze, highlighting the depth of talent in Romanian downhill cycling.
