Romania's U18 Women's Handball Team Shines at Trofeul Carpaţi

The Romanian U18 women's handball team has made a remarkable impression by finishing their participation at the Trofeul Carpaţi with two victories and a draw. This performance took place in Piteşti from July 23 to 25, showcasing their competitive spirit and skill.

In a thrilling match, Romania drew with Egypt, ending the game at 20-20, after leading 12-9 at halftime. The team also achieved impressive victories against Tunisia with a score of 37-33 and Japan, where they won 33-27. Both Romania and Egypt concluded the tournament unbeaten, each securing 5 points.

The Trofeul Carpaţi served as a precursor to the 11th edition of the World Championship, which will also be held in Piteşti, along with Mioveni, Râmnicu Vâlcea, and Craiova, from July 29 to August 9. The championship will feature 32 teams, with Romania set to compete in Group F against China, Kazakhstan, and Uruguay.

This successful tournament has set a positive tone for the Romanian team as they prepare for the upcoming World Championship, reflecting the growth and potential of women's handball in the country.
