Zero Gravity Center to Launch Romania's First Indoor Flight Simulator in October

Zero Gravity Center, Romania's first indoor flight simulator, is set to open in October near Timișoara, promising an exciting new attraction for the region. This innovative facility aims to draw over 100,000 visitors annually, enhancing the local entertainment landscape.

Located in Ghiroda, just a stone's throw from the Timișoara International Airport and close to the borders of Serbia and Hungary, Zero Gravity Center is strategically positioned to serve a regional market of nearly 5 million residents. The project has been a labor of love, developed over five years, with a total investment of approximately 9.5 million euros, including around 6 million euros from bank financing and 3.5 million euros from private sources.

The center spans more than 3,200 square meters and boasts a wide range of facilities, including an indoor Laser Tag arena, a playground, dedicated party rooms for children, a restaurant, a fitness area, and a multifunctional hall. The indoor flight simulator alone, which cost about 2.93 million euros, is expected to generate over 1.7 million euros in annual revenue, with a payback period of seven years.

Zero Gravity Center is not only a new entertainment hub but also a source of job creation, providing around 50 new positions. In its first full year of operation, it is projected to generate a turnover of approximately 2.37 million euros, with aspirations to reach 2.5 to 3 million euros in the medium term.

The building is owned by Oracle Engineering, which operates the wind tunnel, while specialized partners will manage the complementary facilities. With plans to expand the Zero Gravity Center concept into other cities in Romania, this project represents a significant step forward for local tourism and leisure activities.
