Salina Turda set to expand with a €25 million project

Salina Turda, a stunning underground salt mine located in Cluj County, Romania, is preparing for an exciting expansion that promises to enhance its appeal. The expansion plans include the reopening of the Iosif Mine and the construction of a connecting tunnel to the Terezia Mine. Additionally, visitors can look forward to the installation of panoramic elevators and the modernization of the treatment facilities, all aimed at enhancing the visitor experience.

Patricia Pop, a representative of Salina Turda, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming developments. The mine maintains a constant temperature between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius year-round, making it a comfortable retreat for guests. As one tourist remarked, "Wonderful! I could live here at this temperature," while another visitor noted, "It is a real relief to be here."
