Romania shines as a positive reference point in Italian media
Romania has emerged as a positive reference point in Italian media discussions, highlighting the strength of its international relationships. Paolo Zampolli, the U.S. Special Envoy for Global Partnerships, recently praised the solid strategic partnership between Romania and the United States.
Zampolli suggested that Italy should look to Romania as an example of effective leadership and diplomacy. He noted, 'The only suggestion I dare to offer is to look towards other leaders whose relationships have not deteriorated, such as the Romanian president, with whom I have personally worked.'
A key aspect of this partnership is Romania's agreement to allow the United States to use the Kogălniceanu military base, located near the airport in Constanța. This base is currently undergoing expansion to become the largest NATO base in Europe, further solidifying Romania's strategic role on the continent.
