Romania secures third victory in European League 2026

Naţionala României has achieved an impressive third victory in the European League 2026, solidifying their position in the tournament. They triumphed over Albania with a convincing score of 3-0, showcasing their strength on the court.

The match, held in Blaj, saw Romania dominate with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, and a remarkable 25-7 in the final set. This follows their earlier victories against Latvia, where they won 3-2, and Israel, whom they defeated 3-0.

With the final tournament set to take place between June 19-21 in Lithuania, the Tricolore will face off against Portugal and Lithuania, both crucial matches for their upcoming journey. The top four teams in the overall ranking will qualify for the Final Four.

The European League features 26 teams and serves as an important preparation stage for the Romanian team. They are gearing up for the CE2026, which will occur from August 21 to September 6, where Romania will compete in the Azerbaijan group alongside Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and the host nation, Azerbaijan.
