New collaboration aims to enhance public awareness of physiotherapy services
A significant partnership has been formed between InfoCons and the Colegiul Fizioterapeuților din România, focusing on social impact projects and programs. This collaboration aims to promote health, inform consumers, and raise awareness about the importance of physiotherapy services.
InfoCons, a European organization dedicated to consumer protection, has been a reliable advocate since its establishment in 2003. Under the leadership of Sorin Mierlea, the organization has gained national and international recognition, becoming a full member of Consumers International and participating in various advisory committees and working groups.
Nicoleta-Daniela Stanca, president of the Colegiul Fizioterapeuților din România, emphasizes the importance of this collaboration in fostering dialogue between consumer protection and health sectors. The college plays a crucial role in authorizing, monitoring, and controlling the physiotherapy profession in Romania, while also promoting its significance in maintaining and improving health.
Together, InfoCons and the Colegiul Fizioterapeuților aim to develop and implement joint initiatives that enhance public knowledge about physiotherapy. This includes educational campaigns and activities designed to provide accurate and accessible information about physiotherapy services.
With over 204,000 spots available at Romanian universities for the 2026 admissions, the future looks bright for the next generation of physiotherapists. The collaboration between these two organizations not only strengthens the profession but also ensures that the public is well-informed about the benefits of physiotherapy.
