World Class România invests 18 million euros to transform health and wellness network
World Class România is embarking on a transformative journey with an investment of 18 million euros aimed at enhancing its health and wellness offerings. This initiative signals a shift towards an integrated model of health, wellness, and longevity, with a focus on providing a comprehensive experience for its members.
A substantial portion of this investment, over 12 million euros, is allocated for the complete modernization of 17 clubs by 2026. This includes a significant upgrade to facilities such as Bucureşti Mall, Plaza România, Mega Mall, and many others, ensuring that each location receives a thoughtful transformation over a period of approximately two months.
As part of the expansion, World Class România will open two new clubs in the third quarter of the year: World Class One High District in Bucharest and World Class City of Mara in Timişoara. The total investment in these new locations is around 6 million euros, showcasing the commitment to enhancing accessibility and quality across the network.
The modernization efforts will introduce state-of-the-art equipment, reorganize cardio and strength areas, and develop dedicated spaces for performance and recovery, including HYROX zones and Pilates Reformer studios. This approach reflects a broader vision for the future of fitness, as outlined by CEO Matei Filipidescu.
Filipidescu emphasizes that the fitness industry has evolved, and so have people's expectations. The program is designed not only to modernize facilities but also to redefine the premium health and fitness segment in Romania, a market that World Class has been shaping for over 25 years.
Additionally, the initiative will include innovative formats and unique programs, moving beyond traditional health and fitness models to concepts like gym-as-a-clinic. This model will focus on health assessments, progress monitoring, nutrition, recovery, and complementary therapies, positioning World Class România as a long-term partner in the journey towards healthier living.
The modernization process will be coordinated by a skilled team led by Filipidescu, who has brought together expertise in longevity, health and fitness, hospitality, real estate, design, and location management. This collaborative approach is set to redefine what health and wellness means for the community.
