VAT România achieves strong financial growth and workforce expansion
VAT România has made significant strides since its operational debut in mid-2025, achieving a remarkable turnover of approximately 219 million lei in its first year. This growth reflects the company's strong positioning in the semiconductor industry, where around 50% of its portfolio is associated.
Looking ahead, VAT România projects an impressive 30% increase in turnover for 2026, showcasing the company’s potential to tap into the rapidly growing semiconductor market, which was valued at approximately 730 billion dollars in 2025 and is expected to exceed 1.5 trillion dollars by 2030.
Under the leadership of General Director Alin Crețu, the company has expanded its production capacity by 50% compared to its previous location, with a factory size of about 21,000 square meters, including 3,000 square meters dedicated to clean rooms that meet ISO standards. The facility is equipped with 900 kW photovoltaic panels, fulfilling approximately 50% of its energy needs from renewable sources.
The factory, located in the VGP industrial park in Arad, has already completed over 500 industrial projects since 2023. It currently employs over 570 individuals, with plans to increase this number to between 603 and 640 by the end of 2026. The workforce has benefited from a streamlined recruitment process, averaging just 37 days for indirect positions, with about 5-6% of employees coming from outside Arad County.
VAT România is not only focused on production; it is also dedicated to community engagement, supporting local robotics teams and sponsoring initiatives in the medical, cultural, and sports sectors. Additionally, the company runs a dual education program involving around 60 students, nurturing local talent and fostering future workforce development.
