Ultraviolette brings electric motorcycles to Romania and Central Eastern Europe
Ultraviolette, an Indian manufacturer of electric motorcycles, is making a significant entry into the Romanian market, marking an exciting development for local riders. The company has partnered with Elektrorider, which will serve as the official importer and distributor of Ultraviolette's electric motorcycles in the region.
This partnership covers six countries: Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic, expanding Ultraviolette's presence in Europe to 18 countries. The move is part of the company's broader strategy to tap into the strong motorcycle culture and active riding communities across Central and Eastern Europe.
Ultraviolette is set to launch its high-performance electric models, the F77 MACH 2 and F77 SuperStreet, which are designed as electric alternatives to mid-displacement sport motorcycles. These models have already received positive feedback in other European markets, indicating strong potential for success in Romania and beyond.
CEO and co-founder Narayan Subramaniam shared that this expansion represents a new step in Ultraviolette's global strategy. The company is focusing on attracting customers looking for a new generation of two-wheel experiences, positioning itself in the premium segment of the market.
Attila Pavuk, chief operating officer of Elektrorider, emphasized the goal of building a Ultraviolette community in Hungary and the surrounding region. The Elektrorider team has completed their preparations for sales, service, and after-sales support, ensuring that customers will have access to test rides, spare parts, and long-term technical assistance.
With Elektrorider's established presence in the electric motorcycle and scooter retail market, Ultraviolette believes that the infrastructure provided by its partner will serve as a solid platform for growth in the region.
