Romanian shipyard Vard Tulcea delivers Japan's largest cable-laying vessel

The shipyard Vard Tulcea has made a significant contribution to Japan's renewable energy efforts by constructing the largest cable-laying vessel for the country. Named 'Discovery,' this impressive ship has been built for the Japanese company Toyo Construction.

After its basic construction and launch, the Discovery was towed to the Langsten shipyard in Norway, where it received essential equipment for full operation. This marks a notable achievement, as it is the first vessel that Vard has ever delivered to Japan for the offshore wind industry.
