Students invited to tackle digital well-being through Skills Upload Jr Challenge

Fundația Vodafone has launched the Skills Upload Jr Challenge, aimed at empowering students aged 11 to 16 to explore the intersection of technology and well-being in the age of artificial intelligence.

This year, the competition invites junior high school students from public schools to identify real challenges affecting their schools, communities, or daily digital lives. Participants will analyze a specific issue, develop and test innovative ideas, and present solutions that harness technology to create positive impacts.

Organized in Romania by Junior Achievement România and Fundația Vodafone România, the competition is co-financed by Fundația Vodafone, VOIS România through the Brighter Futures program, and the VOIS for Good platform. It is part of a larger initiative taking place across six European countries.

The theme of "Digital Well-Being in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" can be approached from two key angles: online safety and cyberbullying, or responsible digital behavior. This offers students an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about technology's role in their lives.

Registration for the Skills Upload Jr Challenge is open from October 12 to November 24, 2026. This initiative not only aims to foster innovation among youth but also encourages them to think critically about the digital landscape they navigate every day.
