Seven ultra-fast electric vehicle charging stations launched at Henri Coandă Airport

PPC Blue România has successfully launched seven ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles at the Henri Coandă International Airport in Bucharest. Each station operates at a power of 200 kW, contributing to a total installed power of 1.4 MW.

These stations are strategically located in the North parking lot, close to the Departures Terminal, and provide a total of 14 charging points. This advancement supports sustainable mobility solutions at Romania’s largest airport.

PPC Blue România secured this project by winning a tender organized by the National Company of Bucharest Airports on March 18, 2026. The contract for the installation is set to last five years, reflecting the company's commitment to enhancing electric vehicle infrastructure.

Currently, PPC Blue operates over 1,400 charging points across all counties in Romania, marking a 27% increase in the number of charging stations since the end of last year. With a total installed capacity exceeding 46 MW, PPC Blue is recognized as one of the largest charging infrastructure operators in the country.

The company, led by General Director Andreea-Dana Popescu, is dedicated to integrating electric mobility into everyday life. PPC Blue plans to continue developing its infrastructure in three complementary directions: densifying the charging network in areas of interest, investing in balanced infrastructure with rapid transit stations, and incorporating green energy and storage solutions into its offerings.
