România U20 to Compete in Their First World Rugby U20 Challenger in Chile

For the first time, România U20 will participate in the World Rugby U20 Challenger, a significant milestone for the team. This prestigious tournament will take place in Chile from October 2 to 17, bringing together eight national teams from across the globe.

The competition will feature teams from Portugal, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Namibia, and Hong Kong China, alongside Romania. These eight teams will be divided into two groups of four, with each team playing against all others in their group on October 2, 7, and 12.

The matches on October 17 will determine the final placements in the tournament. Alin Petrache, the president of the Romanian Rugby Federation, expressed enthusiasm for this opportunity, which aims to prepare the team for the upcoming European Championship.

The European Championship will be held in Prague from November 8 to 15, where România U20 will also compete. This participation in the World Rugby U20 Challenger marks an exciting chapter in the development of Romanian rugby.
