In a remarkable achievement, România U18 has clinched the title at the EHF Championship, defeating Lituania with a score of 32-23 in the final. This victory not only showcases the skill and determination of the young athletes but also secures Romania's place in the M20 EHF Euro 2028.

The championship took place in Skopje and was specifically designed for teams that did not qualify for this year's European Championship. Alongside Romania, the top three teams in the tournament—Romania, Lituania, and Greece—will now make their mark at the upcoming European Championship.

Romania's journey through the EHF Championship was impressive, ending with a strong performance against Lituania in the final. The bronze medal was awarded to Greece, who triumphed over Luxembourg with a score of 35-29 in the match for third place.

Despite not qualifying for the current year’s European Championship, Romania showcased its potential with significant victories, including a notable 34-32 win against Lituania and a decisive 39-22 win over Ukraine during the tournament.

The triumph at the EHF Championship reflects the hard work and dedication of the players and coaching staff, as noted by the Romanian Handball Federation, who proudly declared, 'România câștigă finala M18 EHF Championship!'. This success heralds a promising future for Romania’s handball teams on the European stage.
