Romania shines at U19 Rowing World Championships with four medals

Romania's young athletes have made the country proud by winning four medals at the U19 Rowing World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The impressive haul includes two golds and two bronzes, showcasing the strength and talent of the Romanian rowing teams.

The men's double sculls team, consisting of Radu-Andrei Enescu and Dumitru Cristian Pascari, secured a gold medal, while the women's four sculls team, featuring Ioana Gabriela Cristescu, Francesca Iulia Stejar, Sonia Teodora Biță, and Daria-Elena Maximiuc, also triumphed with another gold.

In addition to the golds, the women's double sculls crew of Gabriela Costinela Ursu and Andreea Măriuca Dumitrașcu earned a bronze medal. Furthermore, the women's four rowers, composed of Ana-Maria Bordanc, Alexandra Daria Crăciun, Anca-Andreea Culidiuc, and Denisa Mihaela Vasilica, clinched another bronze, highlighting the depth of talent in Romanian rowing.

Additionally, the women's double sculls team of Marina Ariana Balint and Jessica Popescu finished just shy of the podium, placing fourth. Meanwhile, Răzvan Ioan Marin, Andrei Mihai Bălan, Cristian-Gabriel Lupu, and Ilie Stamboala competed in the Final B, finishing fifth.

The achievements at these championships reflect the hard work and dedication of the athletes and their coaches, bringing a wave of optimism for the future of rowing in Romania.
