Romania secures spot at the 2027 World Championships in rhythmic gymnastics

Romania's rhythmic gymnastics ensemble has successfully qualified for the World Championships set to take place in Baku in 2027. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the team and reflects their dedication and hard work.

At the recent 42nd World Championships held in Frankfurt, Germany, Romania finished in 19th place overall, amassing a total of 47.650 points. The competition featured strong performances from around the globe, with Spain taking first place with 57.450 points, followed by Japan and Brazil.

In individual events, Romania scored 22.900 points in the 5 balls category, placing them 23rd, and performed slightly better in the 3 hoops and 2 pairs of clubs, earning 24.750 points and finishing 18th.

On the team front, Romania secured 15th place in the team ranking with a total of 256.350 points. The top three teams were Russia, Bulgaria, and China, with Russia leading the pack at 278.300 points.

The Romanian ensemble featured talented athletes: Anisia Drăgan, Larisa Gheorghe, Elena Murărescu, Teodora Potfălean, Anca Sîrbu, and Izabela Tilincă. Their collective effort and spirit will undoubtedly pave the way for future successes as they prepare for the next World Championships.
