Romania secures 12th place at European Junior Artistic Gymnastics Championships

Romania has proudly claimed the 12th spot at the European Junior Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, scoring a total of 140.928 points.

The championships saw fierce competition, with Russia taking the title with 158.629 points, while Italy and France followed closely behind with 153.762 and 153.129 points, respectively.

One standout performer was Aniela Tudor, who not only qualified for the vault final with the highest average score of 13.433 points, but also achieved impressive scores in her individual events. She received 13.233 points for her first vault and 13.633 points for her second.

Delia Jitea also made her mark, ranking 16th in vault with 12.583 points and 13th on beam with a score of 12.400 points. Additionally, she ranked 19th on floor, earning 12.066 points.

In individual all-around results, Tudor finished 23rd with 47.431 points, while Jitea placed 26th with 46.832 points. Maria Cerguță followed in 46th place with 44.732 points.

The Romanian team showcased their skills across various apparatuses, with Alexandra Nica and Maria Cerguță ranking 58th and 60th on the uneven bars, respectively. Tudor and Jitea also faced challenges on beam, with Tudor finishing 16th and Jitea 13th.

The final event for the vault will take place on Sunday at 11:00 AM Romanian time, offering another opportunity for the gymnasts to shine.
