Romania joins the global race for 6G technology

Romania has officially entered the race for 6G technology, joining a significant alliance formed by the United States and over 20 other countries. This partnership aims to shape the future of communications while reducing China's influence over technology.

The decision holds immense potential for Romania, providing access to cutting-edge research and the opportunity to participate in the establishment of international standards. Experts predict that 6G, expected to roll out around 2030-2032, could be up to 100 times faster than 5G, with near-zero latency and a vast capacity for connecting smart devices.

Joining this alliance also opens doors for Romanian companies and universities to engage in technology projects worth billions of dollars. The alliance includes developed economies such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan, positioning Romania among leading nations in the technology sector.

In addition to this technological advancement, local developments continue to improve the infrastructure in Romania. The local government has decided to abandon unnecessary demolitions along the new connection route between the Astra and Noua neighborhoods, with an investment estimated at 1,743,948 lei. This project will allocate 200,000 euros to support the ongoing construction efforts in the area.

Furthermore, the Brașov Court of Appeal has recently confirmed that it can proceed with a corruption case, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in governance.
