Kimberly Villalobos shines in debut win for FCC Baschet UAV Arad

In a remarkable debut for the new season, Kimberly Villalobos led FCC Baschet UAV Arad to a resounding victory over CS Agronomia București with a score of 71-30. Villalobos, who scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, showcased her talent and determination on the court, earning her the title of the best player of the match.

The game took place on Thursday in the Capital, and both teams were eager to start the season strong. The scoring breakdown highlighted Arad's dominance, with quarter scores of 19-10, 15-8, 19-9, and 18-3. In addition to Villalobos’ impressive performance, Alexia Maria Dobă contributed 14 points, while Anamaria Ciotir added 10 points and 8 rebounds.

At just 24 years old, Villalobos brings a wealth of experience to her new team, having previously played in Portugal and the NCAA for San Diego State University. Standing at 1.86 meters, she plays the guard and pivot positions and has a rich background in basketball, with roots in El Salvador and dual citizenship in the USA and El Salvador.

Villalobos has made her mark internationally, winning the Central American Championship in 2023 and earning silver medals in the same tournament in 2022 and 2025. Her performance at the last Central American Championship included averages of 14.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.

Looking ahead, the next match for FCC Baschet UAV Arad will be against Agronomia on December 12 in Arad, where Villalobos and her teammates hope to continue their winning momentum.
