Gicu Grozav joins Corona Brașov, bringing experience and ambition to Liga 3

Gicu Grozav, a seasoned player at 36 years old, is set to sign with Corona Brașov, a newly promoted team in Liga 3. After parting ways with Petrolul Ploieşti this summer, Grozav sought a club closer to home and found the perfect fit with Corona Brașov.

Having previously captained Petrolul Ploieşti, Grozav brings valuable experience to his new team. He has already attended training sessions and met his new teammates, including fellow players Alexandru Mateiu and Lucian Dumitriu. His commitment to the team is evident in his words: 'Mă bucur că fac parte din acest grup. Trebuie sa muncim să ne îndeplinim obiectivele.'

This summer, CSM Unirea Alba Iulia also expressed interest in Grozav, a club he has history with, having debuted in the first league there. However, his decision to join Corona Brașov reflects his desire for a fresh start and a strong ambition to contribute to the team's success, especially with his wife, Sorina, playing for the local handball team.
