Four Romanian Players Set for the 2026 US Open

Joining her is Jaqueline Cristian, who qualified at position 41 in the WTA rankings. She is currently in recovery after knee surgery but is determined to return to competitive play.

Gabriela Ruse secured her spot in the tournament as the 73rd player in the world, while Irina Begu qualified using a protected ranking, coming in at 82.

In addition to these four, Elena Ruxandra Bertea is on the extended list of players who could potentially enter the preliminary round. However, her current ranking of 268 presents a challenge for her chances of competing at Flushing Meadows.
