In a significant move, Dedeman Hellas has announced a 10% salary increase for all employees, reinforcing its commitment to fair compensation. This initiative comes as part of a broader strategy following the acquisition of Praktiker Hellas, which has now been officially rebranded as Dedeman Hellas.

The acquisition, finalized in July 2025, saw the Pavăl brothers, Adrian and Dragoș, take ownership of the 17 Praktiker stores in Greece, which employed nearly 1,200 people at the time of the purchase. Dedeman Hellas is looking to expand its workforce further, aiming to hire around 100 new employees.

At Dedeman Hellas, a sales assistant earns a net salary of 1,050 euros per month, while a store manager can expect a net salary of 1,700 euros. Additionally, sales consultants receive a monthly salary of 1,291 euros. Employees benefit from a food card worth 132 euros each month and free transportation to work, alongside private health insurance.

The company also emphasizes employee welfare by improving break times from 20 to 30 minutes and providing enhanced conditions for employees with disabilities and those working reduced hours. Dedeman Hellas offers a 10% discount on products in stores, annual performance bonuses, and access to qualification and professional development courses.

Dedeman Hellas is committed to providing salaries above the minimum wage set by the state and plans to increase salaries by 10% every three years. The reorganization also places a strong emphasis on promoting Romanian products within its 17 Greek stores. This dedication to employee satisfaction and local products showcases Dedeman's status as Romania's largest entrepreneurial company, with the acquisition transaction estimated at 120-130 million euros.
