CFR Călători enables electronic ticket purchases for travel to Germany

Starting this month, travelers can now purchase electronic tickets for journeys between Romania and Germany. This advancement in ticketing allows passengers to buy their tickets online, streamlining the travel experience.

Previously, electronic tickets were only available for international routes to Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Ukraine. With this expansion, travelers have more options at their fingertips.

The electronic ticket can be conveniently accessed directly from a mobile phone. Once purchased, travelers receive their ticket via email in PDF format, which can be presented either on a device or printed out.

Passengers can head straight to the train without the need for additional formalities at the departure station, making the travel process smoother. Each electronic ticket is nominal, so travelers must present both their ticket and original identification.
