The recent decision by the Regulatory Committee of ANRE has granted commercial operation licenses for two photovoltaic parks in the northwestern region of Romania. These parks, operated by GREEN ENERGY VISION S.R.L. and PURE SOLAR POWER S.R.L., are both 100% controlled by Shikun and Binui Energy Romania.

The first license pertains to the Șimleu 2 park in Șimleu Silvaniei, which has an installed electric power of 40 MW. The second license is for the Șimleu 1 Photovoltaic Power Plant, boasting a total installed capacity of 44.8 MW. Both licenses are valid for 25 years.

These licenses are awarded after the completion of a new power plant, its connection to the grid, a successful testing period, and the receipt of a compliance certificate from the network operator. With the licenses secured, the companies can now register in the market and start selling electricity.

Shikun and Binui Energy specializes in the development, construction, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy assets, utilizing various technologies including photovoltaic, thermosolar, and battery storage. The company has a global presence with projects in Israel, Italy, California, Texas, and now Romania, with a total project capacity of approximately 6.2 GW.

In addition to these solar initiatives, Shikun and Binui Energy is actively pursuing further renewable energy projects in Romania, including a wind farm with a maximum output of 111.779 MW in Scobinți, Iași County. This commitment to renewable energy is part of a broader strategy that began long before the 2008 crisis, when Shikun Binui started acquiring land for residential projects.

With a strong foundation in real estate and a growing focus on renewable energy, Shikun and Binui continue to play a significant role in Romania's energy landscape, aiming to contribute to a sustainable future.
