Specifically, the net average salary in Sibiu was 10.2% higher in April 2026 than in April 2025. This is a remarkable contrast to the national average salary growth of just 3.5%. Following Sibiu, Galați reported the next highest growth at 7.6%, while Timiș saw an increase of 6.7%.
Other notable increases were recorded in Mehedinți, with a growth of 6.5%, and Ilfov, which had a 6.3% rise.
