Primark has officially opened its sixth store in Romania, marking a significant milestone in its local expansion. The new store, located in Shopping City Sibiu, is a testament to the brand's commitment to the Romanian market, which it entered just three years ago.

The store opened its doors on Tuesday, right in the heart of the summer vacation season, offering the latest fashion collections and essential everyday products for women, men, children, beauty, and home. Spanning over 2,300 square meters on a single level, the new store represents an investment of over 8 million euros.

With the opening of this location, Primark has created more than 100 new jobs in the local community, further contributing to the economic growth of the area. Just a month prior, the brand had entered the market in Craiova, demonstrating its rapid growth strategy.

Primark plans to continue its expansion in Romania, with new stores expected in Iași and Bacău by the end of 2026, as well as a third outlet in Bucharest at Sun Plaza during the 2026-2027 financial year. Once these plans are realized, the Primark network in Romania will reach nine stores, solidifying Romania's position as a key market in Central and Eastern Europe for the retailer.

Founded in Ireland in 1969, Primark has grown into an international fashion retailer with over 480 stores across 19 countries in Europe and the USA. In Romania, Primark currently operates six stores, including two in Bucharest—AFI Cotroceni and ParkLake Shopping Centre—and one each in Timișoara, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, and Sibiu.
