Primark opens fifth store in Romania, enhancing local retail landscape
Primark has officially opened its fifth store in Romania, located in the ElectroPutere Mall in Craiova. This new addition marks a significant milestone for the retailer, which entered the local market nearly three years ago.
The new store, spread over more than 3,000 square meters on a single level, showcases a fresh visual identity for Primark. It features generous display windows, bright panels, and digital screens, reflecting a modern shopping experience.
With an investment of 10 million euros, this store adds to Primark’s growing presence in Romania, where it currently operates in major cities. Besides the Craiova store, Primark has locations in Bucharest, Timișoara, and Cluj-Napoca.
Primark also announced plans to open a third store in Bucharest at Sun Plaza, set to open during the next financial year, between September 2026 and September 2027. This will bring the total number of Primark stores in Romania to nine, with further expansions planned in Iași, Sibiu, and Bacău by the end of 2026.
Founded in Ireland in 1969, Primark is an international fashion retailer with over 480 stores across 19 countries in Europe and the USA. Its commitment to expanding in Romania highlights not only the growth of the brand but also the evolving retail landscape in the country.
