Direct flights bring Polish tourists back to Romania's coastline
The return of direct flights from Poland to Constanţa marks an exciting development for Romanian tourism. The first charter flight of the 2026 season landed at Mihail Kogălniceanu International Airport on June 16, signaling the resurgence of the Romanian coastline in the offerings of a major European tour operator.
Rainbow Tours is optimistic about the season, estimating around 2,300 Polish tourists will visit, with an impressive average occupancy rate of 95%. Weekly flights are scheduled to run until September 8, providing ample opportunity for visitors to enjoy Romania's scenic beaches.
The travel packages include popular seaside resorts such as Mamaia, Olimp, Neptun, Jupiter, and Venus, with accommodation options at three- and four-star hotels from the Phoenicia and Mera Hotels portfolios. These all-inclusive packages are priced at an average of approximately 3,200 PLN per person (754 euros), with rates ranging from 2,200 PLN (518 euros) to 5,200 PLN (1,226 euros).
Polish tourists can also enjoy optional excursions to local attractions, including Constanţa, the Danube Delta, and the Tyulenovo - Cape Kaliakra region in Bulgaria. Rainbow Tours promotes four circuit programs featuring significant tourist destinations in Romania.
The most requested circuit includes highlights such as Constanţa, Bucharest, Bran, Braşov, Sighişoara, Turda Salt Mine, Sibiu, Balea Lake, and Curtea de Argeş, with prices starting at approximately 2,899 PLN per person (683 euros). Other circuits explore the Danube Delta, Bucharest, and even include a visit to Moldova.
Family-focused programs offer hotel accommodations in Jupiter, cruises in the Danube Delta, and visits to the Constanţa Dolphinarium and Aqua Park Magic Mamaia. Each circuit lasts seven nights and can be complemented with a week-long stay by the sea.
The number of Polish tourists visiting Romania reached over 117,000 in 2025, reflecting a 21% increase from the previous year, thanks to the development of regular air connections between Poland and Romania. This revival is a testament to the growing attraction of Romania as a holiday destination.
