Alexandru Băluță joins Poli Timișoara to chase promotion

Alexandru Băluță, now 32 years old, has signed with Poli Timișoara as the club embarks on a quest for promotion to the Superliga. After a stint as a free agent following his departure from Boluspor, Băluță brings a wealth of experience to the team, having played for various clubs across Romania and abroad.

Poli Timișoara, fresh off their promotion to Liga 2, is enhancing their roster with several seasoned players, including Ovidiu Popescu from UTA Arad, Aurelian Chițu from Hermannstadt, and Andrei Artean from U Cluj. This strategic move indicates a strong commitment to not just compete, but to aim for another upward leap in the league.

Băluță's impressive career includes stints at clubs like FCSB, where he won the Superliga title twice, and Universitatea Craiova, where he secured the Cupa României. He also enjoyed success abroad with Slavia Praga, winning two titles and the Cupa Cehiei. In total, Băluță has amassed seven trophies throughout his career, four of which were earned in Romania.

With a net monthly salary of 6,000 euros, Băluță is set to play a pivotal role in Poli Timișoara's ambitions this season. His journey began at Gică Popescu's Academy and has taken him across various leagues, including a notable time in the second tier of Turkey with Boluspor.
