AHK România reaffirms commitment to strengthening economic policies
AHK România is taking a strong stance on the need for a stable framework of economic policies in Romania. The organization aims to enhance the financial credibility of the Romanian state and foster competitive development in the country.
Volker Raffel, the president of AHK România, emphasized the importance of collaborating with any new government to achieve these goals. He pointed out that improving the state’s creditworthiness is essential and requires fiscal measures aimed at bolstering this aspect.
In addition to financial credibility, Raffel noted the necessity of reducing bureaucracy and modernizing public administration. These steps are critical to limiting risks associated with economic development and consolidating investor confidence in Romania.
Sebastian Metz, the general director of AHK România, highlighted the strength of the Romanian-German business community. This community comprises over 700 members, employing approximately 240,000 people in companies with German capital and active across more than 150 economic sectors.
Metz further articulated their capability to formulate diverse positions and initiate dialogue with political decision-makers. He expressed a desire to contribute to Romania's development and to strengthen Romanian-German economic relations.
Recently, the General Assembly welcomed new members to the Board of Directors, which now includes Volker Raffel, Sebastian Metz, Vice Presidents Petru Rușeț and Dan Lăzărescu, as well as representatives from various companies such as Robert Feulner from Andreas Stihl Power Tools SRL, Nick Stirban from Rheinmetall Automecanica SRL, Jennifer Gilberg from Bayer SRL, and Marcel Wiesenhoff from Banat Framing SRL.
