A stunning display of unity and festivity unfolded as Romania and Bulgaria came together for a grand parade on the Danube, featuring over 200 boats. The parade stretched for 12 kilometers and culminated in the picturesque Port of Giurgiu, where spectators gathered to enjoy the festivities.

The event kicked off with a breathtaking fireworks display from the Friendship Bridge, setting a jubilant tone for the day. Participants expressed their excitement; one remarked, 'It's very beautiful, it's my first year participating, especially the fireworks, they were superb.' This sentiment was echoed by another attendee who highlighted the pride in showcasing Romanian values alongside their Bulgarian neighbors.

The day was filled with joy as people danced, sang, and basked in the sun on boats anchored along the shore. 'I think it's very cool, we haven't had anything like this before in Giurgiu,' shared a young participant, while another added, 'Let’s have fun, enjoy the sun, and have a good time.'

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of the event, traffic on the Friendship Bridge was halted for half an hour, and Dan Balint explained the significance of the coordination: 'We managed to stop traffic on the Friendship Bridge, the railway, and the Danube for four hours, as well as the airspace for a few hours.' This unique collaboration between Romania and Bulgaria showcased a remarkable communal spirit.

With DJs, entertainers, and a lively atmosphere, the celebration transformed the area into a festive hub. One citizen noted, 'We have DJs, animators, dancers on the beach, a food court, good music, and beautiful people.' The day was not just a parade; it was a heartfelt gathering that left lasting memories for all who participated.
